I am from Dunville, Newfoundland and with my constant use of "b'y" and "sure", I am reminded of it everyday in PEI. I am very proud to be a Newfoundlander, so a little teasing doesn't bother me in the least. For my first year, I went to Memorial University with the plan to do Biochemistry, but it didn't take me long to realize I should be doing music. After that first year of biochemistry, I applied to the music program at UPEI and was ecstatic to get accepted. Now I can't imagine being at any other university.

I am now in my 5th and final year at UPEI, completing a Bachelor of Music Education. I love being part of the music department and am a proud member of the Music Society, being President this year. I was a residence student for my first two years at UPEI, living in Bernie first year and Blanchard second. I believe that living in residence is what made me settle into PEI so well and fall in love with the university.

In my spare time, I enjoy performing (singing and acting), playing softball and figure skating. I usually spend my summers performing, and even made my directing debut this passed summer in Newfoundland with Placentia Area Theatre d'Heritage.

I am very excited to spend my last year at UPEI as part of the Student Union and am confident that this year will be the best yet!
